Lab Test Schedule.

I had a teleconsult appointment last week and set my appointment for laboratory test this coming Thursday. This is under the health card wellness program. They give free meds for those who are hypertensive, diabetic and those with high cholesterol. My hypertension is very silent, I don't feel any symptoms when my BP goes up. My cholesterol is a bit high. But my sugar is good. Laboratory test is a mandatory every 3-6 months for them to give medicines. I hope the med tech who is going to extract my blood is an expert. My vein collapse easily.

Oh yes I hope the person taking the blood is okay..recently I had to go to the emergency and the tech made my vein look like a horror movie..she was useless. I hope your tests is good and that you get the meds.

@RebeccasFarm what a useless med tech. Sometimes it's the doctor that makes a patient sick even if not sick.

@rakski I know how you feel. That's not the fun part when it comes to getting blood draws. I wish they weren't needed, but bloodwork still remains to be the best when it comes to dianostic testing.

I hope you get a good lab tech too! I hate getting blood drawn because of that reason...bad veins. Mine roll. And that hurts!

@rakski Same here, they have to ask me to squeeze the rubber ball and to beat the elbow so that they could see the veins on the elbow.

@id_peace it's annoyingly painful when they insert the needle and move the needle inside to look for a vein

I have rolling veins, so it feels like they are always trying to stick me multiple times. I’m used to it now. I sure hope they don’t give you any problems.

Hope your results will all be at the normal level. Haven't experienced teleconsultation or some online consultation yet.

@rakski Wow you really did it. Wish I could try someday since my doc is a bit far. I have to ride 2 jeeps to go there. However, the laboratory where I usually go every 3 months is just one ride by jeep.

@pahak627 yes, there is an app where you can find doctors on teleconsult. If I do not have the time to go to a clinic, I will just set my appointment there.

I hope the test goes well. Last time I had my blood taken, there were a couple nurses who were complimenting the vein they found and later drawn blood from. Like "so pretty, so thick". That was weird but also felt nice.
