More rain.

It is still raining here in Northern California. But it is not particularly cold. I would guess that the foothills of Mt. Diablo are turning emerald green, and that there is no snow up there.
January and February are the prettiest months for hiking here, but you have to wait for a couple of days of sunshine, or else you'll wind up sloshing through mud.
I'll try to attach a hiking photo from January or February.

It's raining here today, too. But nothing is green unless you count houses painted green. 
The forecast yesterday showed we should have a week of beautiful weather. (It was 72F here yesterday.) But, when I checked the forecast a couple of hours ago, it had changed and I don't like it! Our highs for this week now show mid-50s, which wouldn't be bad except we had such a warm day yesterday.
I hope you're having a good day otherwise, pony.

The rain is supposed to hit us tonight. They say it won't be any more than an inch here - maybe scattered drops and nothing more here - we'll have to wait and see. It has been cold - but this morning wasn't particularly cold - I wasn't needing a heavy jacket anyway.

@TheHorse The fires are out. Now those areas have to be careful about mudslides. Maybe it wasn't too bad with the slight bit of rain we got a few days ago, but we are going to get more rain in a couple days. That might actually trigger the mudslides.
