We Went to Visit a Favorite Teacher

Back in 1971 an old friend and I went to visit a favorite junior high teacher. (It had been about 15 years since we were in school.) We were both pregnant at the same time. This teacher's name was Mr. Haneur and he had been our Civics teacher. Neither one of us liked Civics and we were always giving the teacher a bad time. Opening packages while he was trying to talk or going up to sharpen a pencil. That sort of thing. So, she and I decided to go visit Mr. Haneur. It was late afternoon and school was out. He was still in the classroom. He recognized us immediately and saw that we were both pregnant. The look on his face said it all. We were always getting into trouble and now we were both there to visit him in our last term of pregnancy and big as two barns. Yes, we did everything together. It was hilarious.
