Pizza, Pizza for Lunch!

I did a quick grocery shop earlier at our local one and only grocery store in town. Yep, that is how small this little town is! I mainly shop there for meat, but always check out their sales while I am in there. Today they had Digiorno's Pizza for $4.49 each. So, I picked up one for lunch and one for tomorrow. I got the three meat pizza with rising crust. This made for a quick and easy lunch and then we will be headed out to McComb for some more shopping. What did you have for lunch today? That's tasty! We did fish sandwiches from Arby's for dinner tonight since we were out running errands.

They stopped stocking that brand of pizza here last year. It just wasn't selling as so many people learned to make their own during the lockdown. We prefer ordering in from a little Mom & Pop shop, which has the freshest toppings I have ever enjoyed. I got groceries this morning but this afternoon I rested and slept, I am feeling blah again like I was on Monday. My husband will make me some chicken soup for supper then I will likely go to bed early.

@kareng I was not fully over it, and it returned in full force with a vengeance.

Yum! We have to go to the next town over this evening and I was trying to avoid eating out. I am betting the hubby will want to stop somewhere though on the way home.

@kareng I would like to think so. Sometimes when at the grocery store, you seem to think you need it all

I had a good enough Breakfast almost 2.5 hours back. Still not feeling hungry so I might directly have an Evening Tea. The Pizza in the image looks good. I hope that you enjoyed the taste as well! Have a nice Sunday!

It was pretty good. Not as good as ready made, but good for a frozen pizza.

I was thinking that for dinner tonight, but hubby wanted to stop at Arby's for a fish sandwich. So fish sandwich it was. I told you he would want to eat before coming home!

I got my monthly grocery order today. I go by a budget and I found that at Walmart GV singles serve pizzad are great o have for quick snacks, I got three and heated up one. I had always bought whole pizzas and had them for two days but eating one at a time is better,

It is rare that they put Digiorno's on sale around here.

We had cold chicken and salad for lunch. Old friends invited us to dine with them. We had a great time catching up on each other's news.

That seems fairly reasonable for one of those. Haven't had a frozen pizza in years, long ago thinking, if I am going to eat pizza, I want the real deal. PLUS, I got frozen pizza'ed out after working for pizza division at Kraft Foods for several years. We made Digiorno, Jack's and Tombstone and although my division did not make California Pizza Kitchen, we made the crusts and sent them to one of our sister facilities that did. The Kraft Pizza Company was eventually sold to Nestle.

They are normally $6.99 and up, depending on store around here. I don't like them often. I will eat them and they are good for a quick meal, but after I've had it, I don't want another for quite some time.

@porwest We used to do fish filets or fish sticks often, but the hubby got tired of them. I'll have to try a different brand from Aldi's!

@kareng Usually for quick meals around here it's Gorton's fish filets, or On-Cor meals or things like that.
