The owner of a excavator called a marine salvage contractor on Friday morning to remove a 10,000 pound machine that fell into Lake Winnipesaukee which is located in New Hampshire.
The excavator fell though the icy lake on Thursday evening which took the recovery team were able to remove the excavator after a lot of hours when the excavator was removed from the frozen lake on Saturday afternoon.
It is very odd for a huge excavator to fall through an icy lake compared to humans and animals who fall through icy bodies of water.

That is true that the excavator was very heavy and large.

The driver must have taken a risk getting too close to the icy lake.
I wonder what he was thinking, as it is dangerous for humans, and animals, to walk across a frozen lake; how much more a 10,000 pound machine.

Good question what was going through the mind of the driver.
