Congratulations to me! Despite all the signs about alligators I didn’t actually see one on the trip. I also didn’t see any snakes or bears or anything else that they had warning signs about.
So here are a few things I did see.
Upper left: you vegetarians might want to skip to the next paragraph. That’s a Spanish goat. They are kept on the property of Jimmy Carter’s boyhood home in Plains for consumption purposes. (Sorry.) I’m allergic to goat meat (so the tests say: I’ve never actually eaten goat), so I’d just like it for a lawn mower instead of food.
The upper right is a seagull. That was taken in Sebastian City Park in Florida. You can’t swing a fish in Florida without seeing them!
There’s a live webcam I like to watch in St. Augustine, the Vilano Beach Boat Ramp. Much like the place in Destin, I had to stop and see the place in person. There were birds on the water, so they got their picture taken!
And the ubiquitous gecko. This one didn’t try to sell me insurance, either.
This one was a little less skittish than many of the others I tried to photograph. Crawling along the boardwalk in Ichetucknee Springs State Park, I snapped its picture for you to enjoy.
I’ll leave the alligators for someone else to see.

It just seems so laughable that todays society has made it seem necessary for us to apologize that God created humans as omnivores, we're supposed to eat some meat in order to get B12 which does not exist in plants .... not sure about mushrooms though and I'd have to wonder if Vegans or Vegetarians would avoid those as well as they are living 'animals' in a sense .... you've taken some good shots, thanks for sharing them

I wrote this discussion while having chicken for lunch. I do recognize the sensitivity of others, though. My mom always said I was too sensitive.

I rarely eat beef because I have a mild allergy to it, and I don’t know where the “dividing line” is. I usually stick to chicken and turkey. Love those vegetarian Boca burgers.

In some of our local parks near the hills, there are warning signs about mountain lions . . . I have never personally seen a mountain lion while there. I do like looking at all the critters that happen to be around. I'm glad you didn't come across any gators and such . . . if you did this would have been a whole different post
.

I love seeing them in alligator farms or zoos or “controlled” areas.
