I don't remember ever trying it so don't know if I'd like it or not.

@rakski You could bring some with you when you visit and make it for me.
I told Sam I wanted him to make some of the foods he makes at home for me when he comes here, too. I just don't want him to hit my pots and pans like he does theirs while he's cooking.

We do not mix bitter gourd with anything else It is marinated in salt and the liquid squeezed out for the bitterness to go. It is then cooked adding jaggery and the usual masala.

I take bitter gourd for health reasons. I shallow fry them and have it with rice as an extra item but I can never have it for breakfast.

I do not think it is available here in stores. I could possibly grow my own if I had the seed and the season was long enough.

Yep. My mom mixes other kinds of vegetables with it and it tastes better that way.

It is now 11:42am, Friday and I just felt a bit hungry. I haven't had anything other than black coffee since last dinner. But I will take my brunch, sauteed bitter gourd with eggs and ground pork. Yum!
Do you like eating bitter gourd?

. I only know of bitter gourd because of my Japanese parents - otherwise, I don't see it in most markets (only Asian markets). I would totally eat that the way you made it - with rice
