I had no electricity for hours.

And when the lights ( and the TV) started, messages started to come too. I had one from Dixie that half of the country had no electricity. One of the probable reason was a huge fire somewhere in the south. I did discover though that I rested more with no lights on, no laptop on my lap and no TV yelling. As there was no possibility of having fun, I turned off the laptop and put it away, placed the pillows in a comfy way and went to sleep. I slept for hours and got up, not knowing whether it was Tuesday or Wednesday. I did not dare ask Alexa. Alexa goes crazy after electricy problems. I let it rest then. Much later I discovered that my laptop and my cellphone told me the exact date. So I went to take my night pills and ate a bit of a dinner. Now I´ll check again the supermarket list and send it so that Anita takes care of that tomorrow. I wonder if I´ll be able to sleep now after such a long nap. For the moment, I´ll mylot a bit. See you

@MarieCoyle We had a huge wind last winter and electricity had problems. I was very happy to have insisted in gas. I like to have partly gas and partly electric devises at home.

Power outages can be a real pain in the butt. I know how that goes.

Nothing was working. Luckily, my stove runs with gas.

@marguicha That's good at least. you could boil water (assuming water lines were working)

Sometimes a long nap means we don't sleep so well at night.
