Every year about this time the car gets a clean-out. Not so much vacuuming, but medication that I carry for an emergency and my first aid kit get examined for expiration dates. Normally I’m not a wasteful person, but I do like to see some things expire without being used up. Antibiotic ointment for cuts and wounds is one of those things….simply because it means I didn’t need it enough to use it. Not that I didn’t need it: when I went strolling through the Mississippi River at Tower Rock I slipped and banged my hand against a rock. When I got back to the car I pulled out the first aid kit and washed it with water and hydrogen peroxide, put some of that ointment on it, and stuck a band aid on it. Better to have it and never use it than need it and not have it. Cute kid, huh? That’s me, about (mumble mumble) years ago. When I say I’ve always loved music, I have proof! That’s a screenshot from the old 8mm home movies my parents took when I was little (some of them are even before I was born!). I’m so thankful I got those transferred to digital. Speaking of music, tomorrow I’ll post the teasers for the March countdowns. I’m pairing 1955 and 1985, just so you can see how much music changed in 30 years. April will be 1960 and 65, and the May bonus will be 1975, celebrating the 50 years I’ve been listening to rock and roll! Got a late start, but I made up for lost time.
