Police officers answered an emergency call from concerned citizens in Tuscaloosa Alabama on Saturday when a goat was seen running on the streets of the city running by himself.
The goat was captured by the Tuscaloosa Police Department when the goat was tired from running in the streets for about one hour when the goat was seen at the Tuscaloosa Department of Transportation (TDOT).
Animal Control Officers were able to capture the goat and take him to an animal shelter where they are hoping to find the owner of the goat.
The good news is that the goat is not harmed or anyone was hurt in the chase of the animal on Saturday.

There seems to be a lot of stray animals getting loose, and running onto highways, endangering both themselves, and others too. Maybe, they should think about erecting fencing on the sides of highways to prevent this from happening.
With local streets, though, this would not be cost effective to do.

You are right that more farms need to have fences around sides of highways.
