Hurricane Helene heroes to be honored at a basketball tournament in North Carolina

Organizers of the Ingles Southern Conference basketball tournament that is being held in Asheville North Carolina over the weekend will be honoring the heroes who assisted the victims of Hurricane Helene. Ashville-Buncombe Regional Sports Commission President Chris Smith mentioned that the first responders will be rewarded with plaques and hard hats to 14 different organizations with a video showing the efforts of the heroes during the halftime of all six basketball games starting on Saturday. Lots of people pitched in during that crisis to help those in need. Wish our government would have helped as much. Glad they are being recognized.

You are right about the government not doing their part to assist the victims of Hurricane Helene. Help groups did assist persons in need during the disaster.
