Today's Delivery is Not Happening!

We were supposed to have a delivery today and I was excited about it. My husband asked me to order a manual pole saw for trim limbs that he has to duck under when on the tractor or mower and I was browsing the site and found a greenhouse. His battery powered pole saw has seen its last days, as the battery does not hold a charge. He has decided that battery operated is not worth it. We have been looking for a greenhouse for a couple of years; to find one of a nice size--not too big and not too small either. I found one that should work perfectly and ordered it too. Now I will have to bribe the man to help me put it together. I am hoping this will get his mind back into plowing up the garden. It's time to start working the soil if we are going to do a garden this year. In checking tracking a few minutes ago, I see that the packages are shipped and both have been delayed. It appears that my husband's is in MS and will be delivered tomorrow. However, it's Fed Ex, so could be next week. My package is in Dallas, TX, so mine will be several more days before I can expect it. Did you have any deliveries today or something good that came in the mail? Photo Credit: Pixabay, Public Domain

I hope that it arrives tomorrow. Once a month I have a zoom meeting with my manager. On Feb 14th, she ordered me a new monitor for my home office, as one of mine is starting to act up. I gave up waiting on it, but today heard a soft knock on the door and a little later when I checked it I found a big box containing a new monitor. We just never know do we?

Right! And my husband's package did show up! I'm going to see if tracking has been updated on my package.

As long as it comes for Monday or Tuesday, we are fine. I will give Saturday, the storm day, as a free day. Not much will be moving and happening that day.

@rakski We wouldn't be putting it up before Saturday is what I was implying with a bad storm coming in.

We haven't ordered anything lately. Those pole saws are very useful.

Yes, he really didn't use the old one enough and think the battery just had the life sucked out of it.

It's definitely a mix of excitement and a little bit of "wait and see" when deliveries get delayed!

I had some facial cleansing cloths come today. I like them because I can wash my face off without using water. The water in my apartment irritates my skin.

I got Nico's prescription cat food delivery today. Glad it came running low although I do need to put together all these bags that just have a little bit in the bottom. Maybe that will be tonight's project. Consolidating is an excellent idea.

For me it is rare I order something online, so deliveries are rare. Maybe once or twice a month something is coming from Amazon, but that's about it. As for my battery operated "appliances and gadgets," I love them. But the batteries certainly don't last forever. It's the only downside, really.

Right, and since he only used his batter op'd one a couple time a year, the battery lost its life quickly.

@porwest Right, they are expensive and you can buy a new piece of equipment for not much more than the battery. Crazy!

@kareng They are expensive to replace too. Luckily I use several items on the same "system," so I get use. The two main things I use are the Worx weeder and leaf blower. But I have other Worx tools as well.

It is exciting to expect a delivery, especially when it’s something useful such as a greenhouse and a new pole saw. Looks like your husband is ready to move on from battery-powered tools after his last one gave out. Finding the right-sized greenhouse must have been a great surprise after searching all these years. Hopefully, you can convince him to help set it up. Delayed packages are definitely frustrating, especially when you’re eager to start a project. FedEx can be unpredictable at times, so fingers crossed so it arrives sooner rather than later. At least you know where both packages are, even if the wait is longer than expected. I do not have any deliveries today, but I always love getting something unexpected in the mail! Enjoy the time

Fed Ex is horrible here. Always delivering to wrong addresses and leaving packages down the driveways or thrown out by road, in the yard...you name it. Horrible service and complaints do no good at all.
