Signs of Spring #6

Yes, we are still digging up those beautiful signs of Spring! This is one of my surviving azalea bushes that popped into bloom unexpectedly. Please excuse the flower bed, it's not very tidy right now. I have one of these on both ends of my front porch. I haven't noticed blooms on the other one, as when I am on this side of the house a big limb from the oak tree blocks the view of the azalea. These new varieties of azaleas bloom early, as early as February sometimes. I remember years ago, that they didn't bloom until March, April and even May. Do you have any azaleas in your yard? What color are they? Photo Credit: My Own

No to azaleas in my yard. Tons of daffodils in various spots. Many neighbors have rhodies but those aren't blooming yet. The rhodies will be purple and red and pink.

@kareng Rhodies are one of the reasons why I prefer the West side of my state to the dryer East side.

I'm waiting for my daffodil to come up. They usually arrive first, azaleas later on. Then hydrangeas. The azaleas are white and red. Yes, in my area its April showers bring May flowers, lol.

@kareng Yes, spotted an early arrival. A nice yellow colored Daffodil. And that no April Fools either, lol.
