Thanks to the actions of the Cary Animal Services and assistance from the Cary Fire Department who teamed up to rescue a male dog named Duffy who ran away from his home and fell into a storm drain on Friday February 28 to rescue the 16 year old dog who is blind and deaf.
The firefighters used their special firefighting equipment to have a firefighter enter the storm drain and rescue Duffy and reunite him with his owner who is appreciative of their efforts to rescue their pet safely.

That is a good question since when a dog wants to go outside, they will run out of a home quickly.

That is quite an adventure for such an old dog, and it was good it was rescued promptly safely, before rain waters might have washed it away.
