Hot Chocolate For the Win!

We got home just as the sun was setting tonight. Got the truck unloaded and I managed to get almost everything put away. I left some things in the truck that were not perishable, go lots to do tomorrow! I hit a nice sale at Walmart and picked up a few things. I got a Nascar Racing Set for youngest grandson that was about 75% off. The youngest granddaughter got a doll and Polly Pocket Troll set. It was so cute! I'll put these away for birthdays and be all set when their big days roll around. Since we ate an early dinner or late lunch if you look at it that way, neither of us are hungry so I have a little win there with fixing no dinner tonight. The hubby can make a sandwich if he gets hungry later, which he probably will. I'm sitting down now and going to see what everyone has been up to today on the Lot while I sip a cup of hot chocolate. There you go! Start a nightly ritual! I drink hot tea in the winter to warm up. The hot chocolate, mainly the milk was to combat the acid reflux which was trying to happen.

@kareng I'm on meds for the acid reflux and I'm not bothered by it. My husband's 2nd cousin makes me a mug of tea occasionally.

We had a simple night on Wednesday and just had toasted ham and Swiss sandwiches with some crinkle cut fries. Sometimes that's the perfect meal. Haven't had hot chocolate in years.

That sounds good to me! I need to get some Swiss Cheese. Haven't had any in a long time. My hubby is not a cheese person, so it is not always on the list!

@porwest I always have shredded cheese and usually at least one block of cheese. He used to eat cheese on sandwiches and hamburgers and English Muffins, but says it all tastes sour to him now.

@kareng Oh gosh, my wife and I are practically mice. We LOVE cheese and ALWAYS have some in the house. Slices or shredded, it's always in the house.

It hit the spot! I managed to aggravate the acid reflux by lifting too much stuff getting it out of the truck, so that helped settle it down.

I didn't want to be up all night and not able to sleep! Milk usually helps. I drank another glass a few hours later with 2 cookies
