Are those packages freeze dried strawberries? We buy those at Walmart and they've had sugar added to the strawberries before being freeze dried. They're crispy/crunchy and sweet. Real dried fruit is still soft-ish and not crispy/crunchy.
I like dried peaches, dried apricots and dried blueberries.
I dried watermelon several years ago but didn't realize I needed to pick the seeds out before drying it. It's still good but more difficult to get the seeds out after it's been dehydrated.

@rakski Oh, then they're just dried and not freeze dried. Freeze dried is very hard and crunchy.

I know that almost all fruit and some veggies can be dried. But this is the first time actually saw dried strawberries in a store. I think I will buy this to know how this will taste.
Do you have a favorite dried fruit?
