What you see in the image is the Amsterdam Canal. I took a ride in there. And as we were enjoying the beauty around the tour guide comes out with the information that the canal water is made of sewage,
Had he not opened his mouth that trip would have been memorable but you can imagine what the feeling was at that moment
Even Venice has canals with a similar story and yet they are tourist attractions

Ooh, that looks so cool! I took a small boat ride in the “canal” in San Antonio, but it’s nothing compared to the size or the beauty of places like that!!

@allknowing — yes. We have a “creek” in town that goes through a couple of parks. So serene, right? It’s drainage ditch.

Yes tis a lovely canal otherwise.
I was meant to go there when I was in my twenties with my then best friend..but she met a guy and that ended that.
