Wheee! Another Project Done!

As you know, I have more vintage loudspeakers here than I need. In general, I restore them and sell them. The other day, I noticed some random scratches on a pair of Snell K/IIs, so I decided to doctor up a couple of sides, and to repair a small hole in one of the screens. I use them in my "bedroom system," I put some (walnut) wood filler in the scratches a couple of days ago, and sanded them down yesterday morning. I also patched a small hole in one of the screens. I used some black felt (usually used on my coasters) and black packing tape for the screen repair. These things sell for but $350/pair on eBay right now And yes, I know what you're thinking."It that an early '70s Marantz receiver on the floor next to the speakers???!!!" Yes, it is! It's a 2215 that was given to me years ago as partial payment for some restoration work. Those little receivers are collector favorites and go for about $500 each on eBay right now. I won't sell this one. One of my next projects will be to take the top off and give the unit a thorough cleaning with De-Oxit. It sounds OK, but I know it can sound better than it does right now. How is your Friday shaping up? Do you still have old stereo gear around your house? Some of it might be worth a bit of money now.

It’s raining outside. And raining. And raining. And raining. So I’m staying inside where it’s NOT raining.

Right now nothing old ones in my home. My husband keeps updating with the new technology and give away or sell the old ones. You definitely sound busy. My Friday comes to an end. It's vacation time and so, I have lost count of days.

@TheHorse Hmm... Already had two weekends gateways and few lunch and dinner gatherings with friends and family. Now, it's time to focus on my health. I have already posted about the recent health updates, planning a surgery this month end or first week of May. May would be for post surgery care and recovery. And in June, I am back to work.

But you have options. I have given away and sold for nothing so many antiques and vintage stuff it is just ridiculous. I had to live and get away from abuse. I sure miss them sometimes and wish I had them to do over and better.

It would have been cool if there was someone there to advise you about how to make some money from the things you had.

We got rid of a lot of it when we moved from I think our second to third apartment.

I hope you made some serious bucks. A pair of AR-3as or JBL L-100s can sell for $1500 right now.

The only way I listen to music is through my computer. Since we lost stuff in the flood, we need to replace speakers and a stereo. I don't like not having music, so the computers works for now!!! The sun is finally shining here in southwestern Nebraska after the rain from last night and this morning. Planning to go to an all you can eat fish fry tonight for an early birthday meal for me. My birthday is Saturday.

Is he still using it? I really enjoy my Sunday mornings. My "old school" stereo is dialed in.

Friday,,other than just cashing out at a new to me survey site for 10 bucks..nothing else going on. The only old speaker stuff I have is from a home entertainment system..that turns on..but doesn't seem to work any more after a lightning strike on a dish outside it had a connection to

@TheHorse What is considered to be vintage..from what year?

If it's not "vintage," I'd probably just toss it. But do your due diligence, of course. McIntonsh amplifiers, with tubes in them, can be worth $4,000 each!

It's amazing what people collect - and what they'll pay for things they want.

All I have is that one speaker that I told you about. Our stereo components have been gone for decades.
