George slept inthis morning. Not by much. He was awake and getting ready for the day by 10 instead of 9. He joked with me about getting dressed so I could bring him his soda and radio. Now he's happily listening to the radio while clouds decide if they want to block the sun. It's comfortable enough out, he's in shorts.
In a few minutes he'll get his "breakfast."

That sounds like a gentle and lighthearted start to the day. George joking with you is a sweet sign he’s in good spirits, and it’s nice that he’s enjoying his morning routine — soda, radio, and all. The way you describe the weather makes it feel peaceful, like one of those in-between days where nature can’t quite make up its mind, but everything still feels just right.
