Some artists come up with the greatest one-word titles for songs and they become instantly recognizable. You might say these tunes are "one of a kind," their tied to that group or performer not to be duplicated as well by anyone in the music industry. Here are a few which fit that category. ***So, let's see if you like these "One-Word" songs and the artists who recorded them... VIDEO SONG: LIES- THE KNICKERBOCKERS (1965) Recorded by a garage band from Bergenfield, NJ this catchy tune reached #20 on the U.S. Pop charts. When The Beatles John Lennon heard this song he said, "I don't remember recording this one, followed by "They sound more like us than we do." Give it a listen and see if you agree with John. -Does it sound "Beatle-esque" to you? TRIVIA CHALLENGE ***Here is today's music challenge for those who like to figure out who the artist, song or facts are from the clues provided... Words with quote marks provide hints! 1. This #1 song by The Beatles is definitely not done by a band trying to imitate them, lol. If you watched any of the "Beatle movies" you should get this one. It's the "title track" from the band's "second film." And their one-word title seems to indicate they are in "need of assistance" or as John sings in the lyrics "won't you please, please" stop those girls from chasing after me. -Do you know this Beatles one-word titled song, it's the same as the title of their popular movie? 2. "If we could read his mind" I bet Gordon Lightfoot would be thinking this #1 hit was a pretty darn good song. The inspiration for this song came from Lightfoot worrying about his girlfriend, who was out at bars all day while he was at home writing songs. With lyrics like, "I can see her lying back in her satin dress, in a room where you do what you don't confess." And "she's a hard-loving woman got me feeling mean," I can see why Gordon was worried. That "song title" is the same as what happens to the "sun at dusk" and it was the "exact time" when "Gord wrote" this song. -Can you name Lightfoot's classic "One-word song?" 3. These two sisters led the band "Heart" to commercial and critical success in the 70's and 80's. This tune with the "fish title" just missed making the Top Ten on the charts (#11). The song really was not about a fish though, it was about how "reporters prey and ambush people by surprise" which happened to "Heart's" Ann Wilson. A trade publication implied that Ann and her sister Nancy were lesbians and when confronted by a promoter her anger led to this song. -Any idea which type of fish "Heart" came up with to use as the name of their "One-Word titled song? ***You'll be "one in a million" if you get all the songs. Until the next music edition... Source- Wikipedia and songfacts.com Photo- Amazon lies

I see "one bad egg" ruined a perfect score. But as Meatloaf and I always say, 2 out of 3 ain't bad at all. That fish was a "Barracuda." Did not have another clue for that answer, so enjoy another kind of help...

Those are some great one-word songs Judy. Not a big Dolly fan, her voice is an acquired taste. Trivia Answers: 1. "Help" 2. "Sundown" 3. "Barracuda" Let's add a little "Lola" to your day, enjoy...

Sometimes "one clue" is all you need to get a correct answer. Trivia Answers: 1. "Help" 2. "Sundown" 3. "Barracuda" Seems John needed some "Help" when he wrote that song to escape all that "Beatlemania." Hey, we all could use some help sometime. Enjoy a little "Help" from me.
