An update on the recovery of my photos

When we got back from our house-sitting stint, we needed to recover my photos after an external hard drive got dropped. I’m pleased to say the photos are now on a new external hard drive. The technician couldn’t recover a few of the files but I haven’t been able to work out what’s missing yet. We’re also in the process of installing a better back-up system. So that’s all good news.
We’ve run a few errands today and tomorrow we’re both seeing the doctor. My driver’s licence is up for renewal and I need a medical certificate. I also have to have a new photo taken.
Vince saw his surgeon yesterday and now needs to have a litre of fluid removed from around his lung. We don’t have a date for that yet.
The photo was taken at the house-sit. The tree branches were a lovely pink colour as the sun was setting but I didn’t capture it very well.

I have pendrivies where I store a lot to save space in my hard drives.
Wil lthat be a minor surgery for Vince? Hope all goes well with him.

This is great news and I am glad the surgeon will remove that fluid on Vince too.

I'm glad most of your photos were recovered and that you have a new backup system for them.
That's a beautiful picture and you can tell from the color on the limbs that it's either a sunset or a sunrise coloring it.
I hope Vince is okay and gets the extra fluid removed from around his lungs soon. That has to be hampering his breathing.
Good luck with your driver's license. I always hate the pictures they take and use on mine.

I hope Vince's fluid removal goes well. I'm glad you got most of your photos back. We don't need a medical certificate for our licenses. That's a lovely photo.

I didn't read the form right through. I don't need the medical certificate till next time - when I turn 80 which is 2026. But I now have a new photo although it's still in the post so I haven't seen it yet. I hope it's not too awful.

@JudyEv So you're on the fast track to 80 as well. I personally can't believe it. I don't know when that happened. I am 77.

Thanks. I found out this morning some of my wildlife ones aren't there. I've probably used the best of them here so I can copy and paste if I want to be bothered.

I’m very thankful you got most of the photos!!
Good luck with the doctor and driver’s license. Hmm, that’s not a bad idea (a medical certificate for renewal). But these days, I trust the older drivers here better than the younger ones.
