I didn't get time to talk about yesterday's shopping trip yesterday because Wynne was on Instagram a lot. He told us to ask him anything, and then he was answering all the questions on his stories so I was busy sharing that to my Facebook group Supporters of Wynne Evans. I asked "When will you be back on BBC Radio Wales? We miss you. Followed by a glittery heart emoji. He answered on his story with a heart and two smiley faces with hearts! Made my day.
I was late setting off to the little Tesco because Mum was writing some birthday cards for me to post, and she hadn't even written her shopping list, so I had to wait for her to do that!
It was lovely and warm out, so I didn't wear a coat.
When I did manage to go, I took my tablet with me so I could photograph the knitted thing that is ontop of the post box. (See photo above). I posted the birthday cards first, then took the pictures.
Then I continued on to the shop. I was walking as quickly as possible so as not to mise too much of Homes Under the Hammer. When I got to the shop the first thing I got was a double pack of kitchen towels. Then I went and got the TV magazines.
Round the next isle I got some chocolate croissants for my Mum and Syd, a snickers bar for Syd and some malted milk biscuits for Mum.
My Mum didn't want any strawberries because they're out of season and half of them are half white, and then they go soppy quickly. So I went straight and got some Alpen cereal with no added sugar for my Mum.
I treated myself to some coloured pencils from the end of the isle. Then I got 2 bottles of milk and some honey roast peanuts, and then I went to pay. It came to just over £18.
I went home as quickly as possible, but I was 5 minutes late for Homes Under the Hammer. Then I had to give Mum her change, shopping list and club card and TV magazine voucher. Then I unpacked the groceries and put them away.
Then I watched the rest of Homes Under the Hammer and had my lunch.
What have you lot been getting up to?
I hope you are all well.
Have a nice day.

That knitting thing is so cute. I am jealous of those chocolate croissants you get every time.
Don't you have some way of taping that show incase you are gone and miss part of the live performance?
All are well here. I have been mad over my insurance and their shenanigans lately, and doing Mylot and online things. Trying to decide what to get for groceries on the 1st for the next two weeks. I get so bored with the same old thing all of the time. That's about it.

Yes, it is, isn't it. I love that little elephant.
Well, it's my Mum and Syd who eat the chocolate croissants.
Well, it is available on BBC iPlayer, so I could watch it on there, but I prefer watching it live.
I'm glad you are all well.
What's been going on with your insurance?
I get bored with the same old thing all the time too, and I've been doing some experimenting with new recipes recently. But sometimes it all goes wrong, I put too much spice, or I just put too much on the plate. When I follow a recipe from the Vegan Food and Living magazine, usually it's for 2-4 people, so I have to reduce the amounts accordingly for just 1, and even then it turns out to be too much! That makes me want to go back to the tried and tested recipes!

@sharonelton .........Just not very good customer service. I called their pharmacy to inform them of my back stock of medication and they said they took it off auto refill until I called requesting more. Then a couple weeks later I get all the medications. So why do I bother calling and requested anything?Gheez! Just frustrating.
As far as cooking goes I think we learn by experience. Sounds like you will have a lot of leftovers. Sometimes they are delicious.

@celticeagle Yes, that does sound a bit frustrating. When I need new medication I order it online on a Monday morning and then go and collect it from the pharmacy on the Friday morning.
Yes, that's definitely true. I've decided I'm not doing the battered cauliflower any more. So I've got some left over cauliflower florets in the freezer. I've also got some left over cabbage in the freezer from a while back. I should really see what I can do to use it up.

Yes, it does look like it took a lot of work.

@sharonelton I’m looking forward to summer strawberries that actually taste like strawberries. I’m enjoying my very quiet, warm and sunny back garden under the flowering cherry.

Yes, I agree with you. Me too.
That sounds idyllic. I'm glad you are enjoying that.
