Trying to type one-handed is for the birds.

I almost bricked my m1 mac because I tried to put my account password in with one hand. I am usually pretty good when it comes to that, but today that was not the case. nope. It was an epic fail. Go figure. When I put my laptop down on my workdesk, it worked much better. which I'm more than thankful for. I am so glad I didn't brick my laptop. I would've been so mad otherwise.

I know what you mean since dropping a laptop and breaking it is bad news.

THat's not what bricking a laptop or device means. It means that you're locked out and can't do much more then check the time.

@Deepizzaguy That can happen sometimes, but there are work arounds to get in. You just have to have the skill, patience and know-how to do it.

Glad it came back to life once you put it down on your desk

I figured that'd be the trick. Trying to recover a password on a mac is near impossible.

It sounds like you had quite the scare with your Mac! I’m glad to hear it worked out in the end. Passwords can be tricky, especially when you're trying to manage things one-handed! It’s good that you found a more stable position for your laptop. Hopefully, that’s a lesson learned—maybe next time, take a moment to set it down first!

I didn't have a spot at the time.
