There are a lot of One-Word titled songs that makes me smile. "HAPPY" by the Rolling Stones is "ONE" I would put right up there. You don't have to figure out how this tune is going to make you feel while listening to it. So, let's add a few more songs whose titles make you "Glad All Over." ***Comments about the song choices, your favorites, whether you like them or not always welcome... MUSIC TRIVIA CHALLENGE ***Here is today's music challenge for those who like to figure out who the artist, song or facts are from the clues provided... Words with quote marks provide hints! See if you can figure out these one-word song favs of mine. 1. This Beatles song was "written by George Harrison" possibly about his then wife Pattie Boyd. Frank Sinatra called this "The greatest love song ever written." John Lennon said that this was his favorite song on "Abbey Road." Now, those are "some" compliments! -Can you name this "One-word Beatles song written by George. 2. The Beatles didn't have a lot of one-word songs but some of them were really great. This tune is about a "girl" with a popular "French name." Paul even added a couple of French lines with the help of a friend to come up with this "romantic tune." The "girl's name" and the "song's title rhymes" with "ma belle." Don't "these are words that go together well." -Do you know the name of this song using a girl's name as the title? 3. When you think of John Lennon this one-word song epitomized his message..."PEACE." Lennon's song lyrics asks the listener to think deeply about many things like "having nothing to kill or die for, living life in peace." His lyrics encourage listeners to "dream of a world where all can live as one," "without possessions, without borders separating nations" and "without religion." This song was Lennon's "best-selling single" of his solo career. -Do you know the name of John's one-word song? TODAYS VIDEO SONG IS: HAPPY- THE ROLLING STONES (1972) This is one of the few "Stones" tunes where Keith Richards was the lead singer, and his only "one" that charted (#22). "I need a love to keep me Happy," was a reference to his girlfriend at the time Anita Pallenberg. This Richards composition allowed Keith to grab a little spotlight from Mick Jagger during Rolling Stones concerts. *** I think this tune makes for a HAPPY LISTEN! Give it an earful, lol. *Hope you do a "ONE-DERFUL job figuring out the answers! Until the next music edition... Source- Wikipedia and songfacts.com Photo- Amazon

1. Oh, the cows’ favorite song? “Something in the way she moos attracts me like no udder lover.” And, given the garbage John put on Abbey Road (“I Want You [She’s So Heavy]”), “Octopus’s Garden” is better! Oh, well, in the end the love you take is equal to something. 2. Ms. Phillips, Ms. Pfeiffer, Ms. Obama, and Ms. Wie can’t think of the song title. 3. I didn’t know until recently that Steely Dan’s “Only a Fool Would Say That” was written as a criticism of “Imagine.” I liked Elvis Costello’s more blunt critique of the song: “Was it a millionaire who said ‘imagine no possessions’?” (“The Other Side of Summer.”) A long time ago I did a list of “songs that make me cringe,” and Lennon was on it with this song, basically for the reasons that Costello and Steely Dan articulated in their songs.

Lennon was a dreamer, but his message was clear. I guess I'll "Let it Be" with your other comments. Fun play on words!

I knew the second one but couldn't come up with the other names. I've got them now from the comments.
