That is how it used to be. Peacocks just roamed about in our garden almost daily and I took that for granted. They were seen all over the place - in the garden, on our terrace and even on our roof
Some climbed the trees and all this when we were very much there. They were not afraid, Some even jumped up and quenched their thirst in the birdbath .
All this is history as we hardly see them these days The reason is not known

It must have been so great to see these majestic birds roaming about in your garden.
It's a real pity that you hardly ever see them now.
It would be interesting to know why that is.
The last Peacock I saw was on a TV show set in a castle in Scotland.

That's happening everywhere. Even mom said that now a days, birds and peacocks don't come to our native place..Mom has shifted there after retirement. It has become very rare. I remember that they came every day when we used to visit for summer vacation.

When it comes to other birds there is no change but yes peacocks do not visit us. Just the other two were there and once again they vanished.

@allknowing Mom feels that it has happened to all kinds of birds, they are lesser than before. Maybe hustle bustle is increasing with human interventions and also many green patches are giving their way to urbanization and development.

@arunima25 The area where I live is somewhat isolated in that there is not much of hustle bustle as you call it
