When I block someone I really should not be able to see them...

April 29, 2025 9:30am CST
...and I REALLY should not be able to respond to their discussions. Such as what just happened completely by accident. I responded to a post written by someone I am friends with - I thought - only to realize a few minutes later that no, it was written by someone else - whom I simply loathe and I have blocked. So I removed the post response (and the 'like' I had given the discussion). But it should never have happened in the first place. I simply should not be able to respond to discussions written by someone I have blocked. Some things about this site are completely stupid.

Considering you’re a pretty open minded person we’re all wondering who you possibly could loathe. Obviously, you’re not going to say, and I wouldn’t either.

There is a particular person here that thought it would be fun to run their mouth about me on another site.

But why would you think you were friends with someone you loathe? I would never forget that I loathe someone and talk to them by mistake. Or would I?

I know, but it would probably cost more money to have it that way, which would mean less money for us.

I agree that neither person should be able to see the other.

The way the blocking thing is set up is...well, different. As you say, if you block them, you can comment on their stuff, but if they block you, it's the other way around. And in some cases, yes, it would be nice not to even see their posts or comments.

Blocked should mean totally blocked . . . they should be completely out of sight, so they can be out of your mind. Here, I guess not.
