The day is half done. Not just in terms of the time, either.
My brother’s surgery went fine. He was in his room, griping that he couldn’t find anything on TV, less than two hours after the surgery started. 
He’s normal.
Now I’m having lunch at Chuy’s, so I’m normal, too. 
I’m going home and go back to bed. Hopefully I can beat the rain home. The weather app just told me there’s lightning 10 miles away. 
After I recover a little this afternoon I have to go to the funeral home for the visitation. Because my brother’s getting released from the hospital tomorrow I won’t be able to attend the services for my aunt. I made a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, my aunt’s favorite charity, in her memory. That’ll last a lot longer than any flowers would.
Here’s one of the new shirts at Chuy’s. So that’s why people drink!!

My cousins all said we did the right thing with the donations (my brother asked me about flowers and I told him what my cousin said, so he donated to St. Jude’s, too) and were very pleased we honored her that way.

@FourWalls Yeah. When George fails to tell jokes,I know he's fine. He was never that great, but his mouth is a surprise now.

I beat the rain home by about 45 seconds. It started pouring when I closed my gate as soon as I got my recycling bin in.
