We all need a good night's sleep. Sleep helps our body rejuvenate and repair itself. We give it a good workout daily. It is crucial to our physical and mental well-being. Here is just a few of the things our sleep does for our bodies:
* Helps our immune system
* Memory consolidation
* Clears out toxins and other waste
* Regulates blood sugar levels
* Replenishes energy
* Does cell repair
* It is vital to our brain's ability to adapt to new information and to learn
* Promotes emotion regulation
* Enhances cognitive abilities such as focus and concentration
* Helps in decision making
This is just a few. Sometimes it takes looking at them in writing to see the full significance of something.

Yes, it is. And so many people do not take it seriously and realize that.

Looking at that list of stuff that sleeping well can help with is food for thought.
I do not sleep well.
I think my immune system is ok
My memory isn't the best and hadn't been for a while.
I have no idea about my blood sugar levels because I will not get them checked.
I get up with less energy than when I went to bed.
Learning new things I seem to do ok.
I think I am ok with emotion regulation
But focus and concentration are issues, I have to admit that and my decision making is laughable.
I think my bad sleeping habits is most likely significant in a few ways

All people are individuals, and we are sensitive to different things. You know what melatonin is, right? And, you can take it in pill form?

I will check it out.
I know it can be helping people who have trouble sleeping.
Other than that I don't know anything about it
