I should be sleeping to wake up so early...

It's past 10 PM here and I am in my bed. It was a good productive Wednesday with a lot done around the house. It was mostly few loads of laundry, cleaning pantry and fridge, filling bottles and jars with the delivered grocery and arranging them. It made me realise that I have forgotten to order a few things and I will order them on this weekend. I should be fast asleep as I have to wake up around 3:30 AM. Mom is arriving early in the morning and we have to go and pick her up from railway station. Yes, she chose to take the long train journey of almost 32 hours. She refused to take flight as she wanted to carry some mangoes from our orchard, some home made snacks, fresh veggies from her garden etc. In flight, there is a weight limit. We asked her to come in flight and leave everything. But then mother's love and especially grandmother's love can go to any extent to take trouble. . I am super excited and that's why not able to sleep. I am sure that I am going to wake up a few times to check my alarm. I met mom in December last year and that too was in my uncle's funeral. I visited for a very short, three days trip and couldn't catch up much with her. I am looking forward to this time where we can spend some weeks together. Mom is retired now and so there should be no rush for her to go back. Tomorrow is my doctor's appointment to run some test to get the fitness certificate to go ahead with my surgery. The tentative date is 5th May. I am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that all goes well with my tests and my surgery happens as scheduled. That's all for blabbering. Hope all is well in your myLot corner. Take care.

I hope you get some much-needed sleep again. Good for her to take the train.

Yes, a long train trip. I won't have the patience for that long trip. It has been a long time since I had a long train trip. Maybe more than two decades. I have been to short ones( a few hours) a couple of times recently. Mom is here and I am just loving it. I am getting enough rest.

I would be excited too if my mom was visiting. Not possible anymore since she has passed away. I would love a train ride - if it is very comfortable and not crowded. I don't like flying.

My mom has been a single parent as I lost my dad to cancer as a toddler. Even I am scared of flying though I fly so frequently. I enjoy train rides especially if it's a scenic route. This one was comfortable but a bit too long.

You have done a lot of works. You must be feeling tired now Take a brief nap since you have to go to recieve your mom. I can feel your excitement. But one thing, what disease you are suffering from?? Why do you need surgery??

@arunima25 I see. My nephew's wife had also got her fallopian tube removed a few years ago. They have a daughter only and they wanted a son, but that could not be possible.

My mom is here with me. And I underwent surgery last week. Slowly recovering. It was a major complicated surgery but by God's grace went well. I will make a post about the same soon. I had to undergo total hysterectomy, ovariectomy, removal of fallopian tube and cervix. It was a very ugly case of endometriosis.

Mom is safe and sound, reached us in 32 hours. And she was okay with it. Even I am not sure if I would have patience for such long journey.
