A Florida detective rescues a baby screech owl that was in a parking lot

A Pinellas County Sheriff's Officer (PCSO) Detective Smith saw a small baby screech owl in a parking lot that was in the path of traffic on Wednesday April 23.
Detective Smith moved the baby screech owl to a safe place. Detective Smith waited for the parents of the baby owl to be with the baby owl.
When the parents of the baby owl did not come to pick up the baby owl, Detective Smith made a call to the Florida Fish & Wildlife Commission (FWC) headquarters to send an official to pick up the baby owl to a raptor rehabilitation center to be taken care of.

Unfortunatly wildlife has been driven away from their normal places. I´m glad that this poor owl will get a second chance.
