So much for that

Today started out cloudy and not exactly warm but warm enough to get me out there to do a bit more in my garden. I planted some corn seeds I sprouted in a bakery box, then put a bit of order in the last flower bed in the backyard. There was talk of rain showers later on, but they started while I was filling up my bucket with dirt from the big yellow bag. So I quickly closed it up (I don't have much use for a big yellow bag of mud), put the bucket under the patio cover and grabbed the few tools I had out. And came on the computer to find there's another severe weather statement for today. And my poor neighbor across the street thought he could get some work done, too, but he's soaked through. April is over. Shouldn't the showers be, too?

I'm glad you got out and enjoyed some sun and played in the dirt for a while. You could always make some mud pies and take some of them over and give them to your neighbor. To make the pies pretty, you could find some small gravel in different colors and put them on the pies before you give them to him... I'm sure he'd love that. I picked up my car from the mechanic this morning and brought it home. Then picked up trash from the yard and pulled some weeds out of the flowerbed. There still a lot more than needs to be done but I got tired so came inside. Mother Nature doesn't care what month it is when she feels like pouring water everywhere. Just be glad she isn't sending a tornado or flood your direction.

Well, she is sending thunders... And my neighbor has his own mud piles to deal with: he dumped three wheelbarrowfuls on a front garden when it started to rain. So, is your car all better now?

@BarBaraPrz And then the rain will come tumbling down... Wow! I hope he got that spread before he went inside. If he didn't, it's gonna be a real mess when he tries to work with it. Yes, it seems to be doing just fine, thanks.

I don't think the weather cares what month it is. We've been kindly dry.

It's very wet right now, some thunder and lightning, and then it settles down for awhile before it starts up again.

I'm hoping we'll get showers tonight and/or tomorrow. It would save me watering the garden.

That's a good hope. The grass around here is so green.

With climate change, you can't count on "regular" weather anymore!!!
