A Brinks armored truck that was driving in the streets of a suburb of Chicago Illinois on Tuesday last week that had the bad luck of having the back door open and bags of money fall on the streets. Many persons who saw the bags laying on the street of Second City saw three bags on the street and took the liberty of helping themselves to the money and running away with around $300,000 dollars since around 50 to 100 persons stole the money. There have been no arrests made in this case. I feel bad for the driver and his colleagues who were inside the truck when the back door opened and let the money spill on the streets. Other than robberies of Brink trucks that are made into movies, this story is odd.

What an awful thing to happen. That poor driver will no doubt be in a lot of trouble.

That is extreme carelessness on behalf of those Brinks employees, who should have made triple sure that the doors were locked, and could not open, and it sounds as if they might have been drunk, and speeding too much too, for bags of money to fall out as they drove along, and they didn't even notice this happening, right away, either, as otherwise, they would have stopped their truck to pick up the money. Questions should be asked, and those drivers might be sacked for such an act of carelessness. It also seems to be a bad neighbourhood for wanton theft to occur like that too, with the people living there, or nearby.

My feeling is that the employees on that work detail are likely to be terminated.

That is true since I am sure that their employers are upset that around $300,000 dollars.
