Spoiling The Rice

Recently I don't but only around 40% the rice that I cooked is consumed. Upon checking the next day, the rice is already spoilt. I always feel guilty because this happens every time. I just can't estimate how much rice should I be cooking before it gets spoiled. Do you experience the same thing?

I buy rice in small containers. I don't have any problem with spoilage.

No because I won't cook or eat rice.

No. It's a rule in our house. No food gets thrown away. If it can't be eaten at once, or even as a leftover, it gets repurposed before it goes bad.
