I find no fun when cake or pie is smudged on any one's face.
It is not just about wasting some cake/pie it is also messing up with the person I really do not know who starfted it and strangely this practice continues.
Have you ever been a victim of this bizzare practice?

No, Oddly enough the first thing I can remember watching on TV when I was maybe 2 or 3 was a show that consisted of people getting hit in the face by pies. I remember even noticing as a tyke that was really odd behavior.

Good that in your real life no one has done that.

@LadyDuck Better sense should prevail on those who are adults and know that it is not something that makes anyone happy

@allknowing - A woman lost an eye because of this stupid thing. There was a stick inside the cake, sometimes pastry shops add sticks inside to keep the cake.

No, that's never happened to me. I would have been very angry if someone smacked cake or pie in my face. Mom would have immediately spanked any of us that did it when we were growing up and I would have spanked Pretty if she ever tried doing that.
I've been seeing that happening on videos online and thought it was stupid.
Edit to add: I know a lot of the "pies" that are smashed in someone's face were not really pies. The pie pan had been filled with foam from a can that is used for men's shaving. It's harmless but still seems like a stupid thing to do.

Smashing, smudging or hitting what it is I just never like it. It is like throwing colour during Holi in India I hate that too

@allknowing Adults here grow out of shooting fireworks, too, but that doesn't stop younger people from doing it.

@allknowing Younger adults here do, too. Older adults will watch a fireworks show but aren't interested in setting anything off, though.

Whatever that be - even cream can be quite a nuisance on one' s face.

@allknowing True, the people volunteer to have it done to them, so they probably have their hair tied back, no make up and a clean shirt on hand.
Not my idea of fun either.
