In reality, it was first released as a single in England in 1973. About that time, Sweet was The Sweet and having a hit over here with “Little Willy.” Over in England, however, they were glam rock darlings and hitting it big with songs like this. It took two years (and dropping The from the name) for this song to make it to American shores. However, when it did, it made it quite big. This is probably Sweet’s best-known song in the US. It certainly put a charge into the wild and wonderful summer of 1975!
