I always pictured bird watchers as men and women dressed in khaki outfits with matching khaki wide brim hats with binoculars. But maybe that's just the movies.
I enjoy watching the birds in my yard. We have a bird feeder and many different types of birds come to enjoy the birdseed.
I've started to learn the names of the different types of birds. It's pretty easy to type in a description in Google or Bing and it'll show pictures of birds matching that description and when you see the bird you're looking for, you learn its name.
So far I've seen:
Crows
Mourning Doves
Robins
Cardinals
Blue Jays
Eastern Bluebirds
Carolina Wrens
Carolina Chickadees
Fox Sparrows
Tufted Titmouse
Red Tailed Hawks
Finches
What birds do you see in your area? Do you enjoy watching the birds?

My dad and his wife got a picture of a road runner right outside the back door of their house, and that was pretty cool. There were also two of them up at their church. The cardinals in the backyard are beautiful, but the blue jays are jerks. I didn’t even realize birds could be jerks until I started watching the blue jays.

A variety of songbirds, and hummingbirds. They don't seem to hang out here alot though. I filled my feeders when we had snow..and the squirrels got it all. I never saw a bird, although I have in the past. I like Cardinals.

I'm not an avid birdwatcher per so but I do enjoy seeing the birds sitting on my deck. Mostly we have robins and doves and occasionally a cardinal will pop up.
