Employees at the United Bank in Huntington West Virginia saw a raccoon who was stranded on a ledge outside of a window since Friday April 18.
The bank employees called the West Virginia Natural Resources Police Officer on Tuesday April 22 in an attempt to catch the raccoon.
The raccoon managed to get away from the police officer and the animal fell down two stories before catching itself and its way up the outside stairs.
The raccoon was taking shelter under a wooden pallet where the police could not reach the raccoon.
Officials are setting a humane trap for the raccoon by using food and water so that veterinarian can take care of the racoon so that the raccoon can be released into the wilderness.

Wow
I really do hope he is out back into the wilderness unharmed.
But, I wonder if he is someone's let and just couldn't find his way home

The raccoon could be someone's pet.

I've seen them on Facebook as pets and they are very clever friendly little animals.
They seem to be really cuddly and all I have seen get on well with other animals

That is one crafty raccoon, avoiding all attempts at capture for its own good. Let's hope the fall did not injure it too much, and that it is soon captured, and checked over for injuries.

I also hope that the raccoon is not seriously hurt and can walk into the wild safely.
