Dinner and a show

Mom and I went to see the Titanique musical yesterday. We didn’t know where we’d be sitting as when you buy tickets through TDF they don’t let you choose seats or tell you what they will be. You only find out when you pick up the tickets. But at least the tickets are much cheaper than if you get them elsewhere. I paid $84 for two tickets. Elsewhere and with a discount one ticket where I wanted to sit would be around $82, if not higher. Our seats actually turned out to be close to the stage, which is what I was hoping for. The cast was great, and the music too. There were many funny moments in the show, which brought on the laughs, a much needed thing. I really enjoyed it. Before the show we went to a Japanese restaurant for dinner. We had wagyu beef sushi, fried maitake mushroom appetizer, and udon sukiyaki for each of us. The bowls the udon sukiyaki came in were bigger than my head. It make for a great presentation though. Inside the bowls was strips of wagyu beef, udon noodles, shiitake and enoki mushrooms, arugula, and Napa cabbage in a sweet sukiyaki broth. And for dessert we had two pancakes in the shape of a fish and between them was read bean paste. It came with vanilla ice cream on the side. Everything was delicious. And the total with tip came out to be in the mid-$90s, which is not bad at all. It was a nice outing and my mom enjoyed herself as did I.

Titanique musical. The story of it is Celine Dion hijacks a Titanic museum and starts telling people about what happened on the Titanic (film). Her songs make up the music of the musical. Though there was one Tina Turner song.
