Plans changed. We had to change on the fly because we couldn't find parking. So we took a drive along beachside, and then made our way to Winn-Dixie because I needed to get some shopping done. Since George decided he wanted to stay in the van, I wound up going by myself inside. Not easy, but I managed. Took my chair, too because I wasn't about to risk exhaustion or injury. Might need to look into wheelchair baskets or something I can grocery shop with that'll allow me to wheel around while George wants to wait in our van.

Probably would need a basket right enough.
When I was in a wheelchair I needed a basket.

I do have a bag that I use instead of a purse. However, stores frown on you using them because it's easy to shoplift. I just use my lap when it's something small. Today I balanced m things on my leg and wheeled myself with one swapping hands as needed. I perfer both hands to perpel, but when I can't it's an option that works.

I wasn't good at propelling myself.
People laughed at me as I couldn't always go in a straight line.

At least you got your shopping done, I am so tried now of all this rain and thunder, Thunder actually scares me I worry about having my PCs working etc. I hope you both have a good evening,

I am assuming this was Daytona Beach? I only ask since you are around that area. The last time, last year I think it was, when the wife and I were in the Sanford area we planned on spending the day at Daytona Beach but had the same problem. Couldn't find parking. So we just went back to the hotel and spent some time in the pool.

Yes. It's technocally still Daytona beach, but beachside. We have Daytona Beach, (mainland) where most people actually live and then we have Daytona Beach, beachside where most of the hotels, resorts etc are . There's a resort we go to that we've got free access whenever we want. And, that's where we hit the hottub.

@kaylachan Yeah, that's what I meant by Daytona Beach. The beachside. We tried to find parking on the street and in the designated lots, but there was nothing. It's a shame. We'd have hit some shops and probably bought some souvenirs. So, they lost some money. At least from us anyway.
