Cocktails at sunset- what better way to end a hot, busy day. We parked ourselves in a bar looking out over the bay towards Agistri, but the view was spoiled and obscured by fancy yachts all parked along the sea front from one end of the port to the other. The boats have taken possession of the view and the town isn’t likely to object given the revenue these vulgar yachts bring in. He who pays the most and all that. What we viewed was the back end of a line of yachts and on one of them a woman was washing her hair on deck, her friend pouring buckets of water over her as she hung over the side of the boat. That wasn’t the view I wished to sip cocktails to. And here’s another thing, the place seems to be peopled with threesomes, always one man with two women sauntering around town. Now I know I am on holiday as always with two women, my wife and adult daughter, but we’re obviously a family group. Not so these thruples I refer to. They are all of an age and the women are generally clad in a collection of strings and the man looks like the cat who got the cream.
