Knowing less about world trade than the guy sitting on the road picking maggots out of his foot, Trump pulls back on his 'beautiful' tariffs. There are those who think there was an ulterior motive, and if there was, a brain more useful than Trump's would have formulated. For as is evident to anyone with an operational brain, Trump knows nothing about anything. China didn't suffer, it simply held back and sent a portion of what the US would have ordered to other nations. Other nations didn't suffer. Most had been finding other markets for years, this just moved up the time line. Learn this about Trump, he acts without knowledge or thought, and after the reaction, steps back. He never learns so expect more ridiculous actions.

He obviously can't learn! Those people that keep voting for him can't learn either obviously!

@dfollin @jaylar I wonder if his supporters are just so tired of the regular politics that they'll accept anything if it will change things in the US? I don't mind the migrant workers who come into the US and pick the strawberries and tomatoes and then return to Mexico again... But I know MAGATs think the migrant workers are "stealing our jobs" when in reality, they're doing jobs Americans won't do themselves.

@dfollin I would have thought that the attack on the Capital would be enough... but obviously these 'americans' have no respect for their own institutions.

In spite of his shortcomings, I am thankful to President Trump for he pulled up India and Pakistan Prime Ministers by their ears to agree on ceasefire.

Interviewers ask him questions and he says he does know, that goes through his lawyers. He is giving China an open door to take over. He cares about himself and his minions.

China simple held the goods in storage, selling portions to other countries... unlike the US where people went out of business

I think that we had realised that a out Trump from his previous stay in the White House. Our government made a big thing of it here and told us the taffifs would hurt but most sensible politicians said if you don't like Trumps Tarrifs find another outlet for your goods and services And lo and behold we just got the biggest ever Scotch Whisky deal the world has ever seen done with India. Not sure we really need America as badly as America thinks we need them

Exactly! We were 'invaded' by China so most products are not US. The few items we get from America have competition from local goods and stuff from other countries. Trump is so ignorant he doesn't know that most countries can live without America.
