Another Dumb Analogy That Probably Still Works

Sometimes you have to work harder to explain things, especially to explain why they are wrong. Life can offer myriad examples, of course, when you really take a step back from the anecdotes and try to see the bigger picture.
When I have tried to explain this whole illegal immigration thing, I've used several analogies, as I have done with tariffs, taxes, and other areas of discussion.
There's always another way of trying to see a point, right? And sometimes, every once in a while, something clicks and someone says, "Okay, now I get it." So, here goes another attempt with yet another dumb analogy that probably still works.
There's a REALLY good paying factory right down the street from you, and you really want to work there. It's going to be great for your family, you'll have a better life, and so you decide one day to just walk in the front door, find a place on the production line and get to work.
Sure, you could APPLY, but why bother with that when you can just walk right in and start working?
What do you think is going to happen when the boss comes by and doesn't recognize you? Is he going to simply get you on the payroll and hand you a check?
No.
He's going to have you escorted out of the building. You aren't LEGALLY employed by the company, and you did not follow proper procedure to gain the employment. You don't get to keep the job and get a paycheck just because you showed up and decided to claim the job as yours.
AND you're not entitled to take the case to court either to demand you get to keep a job you never had in the first place...
Or to be paid for the work you did before you got caught.
In the grander scheme of things, sometimes you are simply in a place you are not supposed to be, and when someone finds you there, they tell you to leave...
And they have every right to do so, without question.

I hope you're right. The real problem in the US is that a lot of our newer generations .... especially here in EP .... are decedent's of illegal immigrants that were never caught.
Back a few decades ago pregnant women would illegally cross the border to get to one of our hospitals so their baby's would be automatic citizens. I don't know about other cities but it used to be a real problem here and then our tax payers here in EP had to foot the bill for those illegals medical care

@BarBaraPrz Oh. I stand corrected, then. I swore you were being sarcastic. My apologies then.

It makes sense to me, and it appears, to you as well. But I wonder if it makes sense to those who still see illegal immigration as no problem. My guess is that many of those people won't respond because they won't be able to explain why the two things aren't the same. lol
