It Rained Last Night, But....

Last midnight I was studying Sanskrit with rapt attention. I was oblivious of what is going on around me. Just then a loud thunder made me leave my chair. I went to the window. It was raining heavily and the wind was blowing fast. Today morning I got up to a slightly cloudy day. The road was muddy. But surprisingly the heat was as it was the day before yesterday. I'm now at my store. The sky is slightly clouded, but the weather is hot and humid. The heavy downpour last night has failed to bring the temperature down

Same here in Kolkata rural. We had some rain last night but we need more rainy days to bring down the temperature.

That means you have the same situation Now the wind is blowing here, but I'm not sure if it will rain tonight again. The weather is simply unpredictable

Really glad to hear that you had some rain but sorry to hear that the rain has failed to bring the temperature down. Well we cannot see the sun today. Very cloudy. A fog coming in from the see and the temperature has come down a lot. It is only 14C here today.

Thank you, my friend. There is such a cold weather and here we have a sweltering hot one. The sun is hidden between clouds, but the temperature is 43 C. It may go up to as high as 55 C, as they say. It is getting dark. Let me see what happens tonight.

I'm glad the rain wasn't bothering you while you were studying. It's too bad the thunder bothered you. @vandana7 claims Indians LOVE the heat and high humidity... She's so funny!
