The Seaweed That Ate Florida

Added to the list of what to be aware of in Florida is now seaweed. A record setting sargassum seaweed blob is moving across the Eastern Caribbean sea and West Atlantic heading toward South Florida. The complete seaweed belt stretches more than 5,000 miles from the Atlantic right off the coast of Africa into the Gulf.
With this seaweed washing up on beaches you might find you cannot see the sand just seaweed as far as the eye can see. What do you think? Maybe laying on a bed of seaweed might not be so bad but I think it probably smells.

I don't think seaweed is wasted here - it makes good food for the garden and we Scots seem to eat a lot of it.

I'm positive it will stink as the seaweed starts to rot... I feel sorry for all the people who live close to those beaches.

@RasmaSandra True... The hotter the weather, the faster the seaweed will rot and stink.

@RasmaSandra That's crazy, I heard that this year is going to be
a busy & rough hurricane season so I'm sure glad that I don't live
in fla any more.
