After lunch I take a break and expect to sleep just for half an hour The TV is on and that serves as my lullaby. I was tired today as I had to cook - the maid is not well and it was quite a bit of work. Work is good in a way that it induces sleep I was glad I over slept. I sleep well in the night as well having to get up a few times though. How is your sleep?

I enjoy my night sleeps and the occasional afternoon weekend naps. I do love a power nap once in a while.

@allknowing - We go to sleep from 10:30 to 11 pm, never later. I wake up when I hear my husband moving. I check if he needs something.

I think my sleep is finally returning to normal now that I’m retired. These days, I’m able to sleep through the night—occasionally waking up around 3 a.m., but I usually fall back asleep and wake up feeling refreshed by 7 or 8 a.m. It’s a big difference compared to before, when the stress and pressure from work would often keep my mind racing, making restful sleep difficult. Now, with a more relaxed pace, I’m beginning to enjoy the kind of rest I didn’t realize I was missing.

@allknowing That's true, I am gradually rediscovering the value of sleep as an excellent way to wake up feeling refreshed and reenergized every morning.

I don't sleep well or for very long at a time. Naps are always welcome.

@allknowing It usually takes me three naps in a day to get 8 hours but it's not often I get three naps. I'm glad you get enough sleep in a day.
