Budgeting before earning – my worst weakness

There is this issue of thinking big a planning how well I will use the money I expect to earn. I even jot down everything in a priority order. But when I get the money, everything seems to turn downside-up. My mind gets better ideas and most priorities end up being replaced or overtaken. Sooner, when the money is already spent, then I realize I had a plan. Even though I do not usually waste money, I feel bad when I realize I didn’t spend it appropriately by failing to follow my previous plan.

I have a small grocery. Every month I first save a definite amount and with the rest buy things we need

As long as you're not wasting your money, I wouldn't worry too much. Plans need to be flexible and I'm sure all sorts of things happen between making your budget and getting the money.
