French Toast will be my breakfast for tomorrow Just got some brown bread. I have my own recipe for making it I prepare the milk adding beaten egg, sugar and nutmeg powder. Dip the bread slices in this mixture and shallow fry the slices. Eat them hot How do you make yours?

I mix together eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and a pinch of salt. I pour the mixture over sliced bread and soak a few minutes, turning the slices. I fry in a skillet with butter a couple of minutes per side.

I do not keep it soaked for a long time as I notice it softens and lifting it becomes difficult

@LadyDuck Normal bread. I soak just one slice at a time and never keep it in the mixture

Love French Toast. Similar to your way except I did not add nutmeg powder.
