Sweet friend got us safely through traffic to the doctor. Modern building with the Doc on the second floor- this is for physically impaired folks? There's an elevator. Where? That gray set of doors in the far corner. Oh. Got into the exam room: got the news. NO. This is just a consult. NO test of any sort until you talk with the Doc. That is not what I had been told by the clinic who sent me there. All the hassle of getting me there and NO on test. I am not very patient. I am not a patient. I walked out. I left. See the reddish paver stones on the ground in my photo? Friend very very nicely tracked down where the company was located and me in my skirt and blouse and sweater walked among huge crates and piles and stacks of gorgeous stones and rocks of all sizes and descriptions. YUM. I picked out four- insurance won't allow the workers to help so I got 'er done in my skirt and sandles. I packed the pieces I wanted to a wheeled cart and between me and friend we rolled the loaded cart onto a big scale for payment weight. Total joy. Got to have an adventure for sure after the Doc fiasco. We also had a very nice fish and chips lunch. And shopped at Trader Joes- a favorite oddball place of mine. Now I'm home and glad to be here.

I am very sorry to hear they were so uncooperative with what you needed at the doctor. But the pavers sound great.

@sallypup Yes, I’m sorry. The way I worded that sounded weird. They are so similar to the ones at my late grandparent’s final home. They had been covered with weeds over the years, and my grandpa and I picked off all the weeds, and there were the beautiful pavers. They look extremely similar to yours. I think they look so pretty.

@much2say The nurse was not friendly, either. Good to hear from you.

@sallypup It makes such a difference when the staff is friendly and makes you feel welcomed at an office. Phooey on nurses who don't give a good vibe. ***Waving "hi" to Lenore

I'm sorry the doctor trip was a bust... I don't know why someone would want to see a doctor that didn't examine them, run tests and give a prescription to help the sick person. I've seen doctors like that before and walked out, too. They're useless and should be illegal. They're just trying to milk insurance for all they can get.
