Police officers in Florida save a man who fell into a canal

Hialeah Police Department officers Sergeant Richard Aguero and his partner Kevin Coloma answered an emergency call from an eyewitness that an elderly man who is sightless fell into a canal on Friday evening on May 2. Officer Coloma jumped into the canal in an attempt to rescue the man who was face down in the canal as Officer Coloma held on the man while his partner was able to drag the man out of the canal. Both officers used cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the accident victim who did recover and he was taken to a local hospital where he is expected to make a full recovery., Both police officers were awarded by officials of the Hialeah City Council on Tuesday with certificates of merit.
