As I mentioned before, yesterday we traveled to southern Louisiana for my oldest grandsons graduation from high school. We left early as my husband wanted to stop and check on something and I knew we would have to get a late lunch, so we had a leisurely drive down. It is about a three hour drive from our home. We met my daughter and her family at the school where Graduation was held. We actually beat them there! The ceremony was very nice and we enjoyed it. After the ceremony was over we chatted with the ex-in laws and son in law, took some pictures and then met the Grad and family back at my daughter's apartment. My hubby helped the Grad fix his bed. He was horse playing with little sister and they both jumped on the bed and broke it. They got it all put back together except for moving the mattress from the living room floor back onto the bed. Ha! I asked my grandson if he wanted to go out and grab a fast dinner and he said, "Yes!" So we all headed out and I'll leave that story for another post. It was quite an adventure. How was your Friday? Photo Credit: My daughter's

Congratulations to your grandson! I'm sure he was excited to graduate! On Monday, I'll have to make an appointment with the dentist. That back tooth that got broken is hurting all the time now. It has to come out. Since the car is working now, I can get to the dentist's office.

He was glad it was all over! He actually didn't want to participate in the ceremony, but his mom had a good threat on him if he did not. I think we are all relieved that he was able to pull grades up to graduate and not lose his scholarships!!

@kareng What was the "good" threat? If I didn't want to participate, I wouldn't participate.

@DaddyEvil His other grandparents but up the bond and paid his tuition for his private schooling his whole life. My daughter told him that if he doesn't graduate, he has to go explain to them in person why he didn't graduate and waste all of their money on not getting a diploma.

If he can stay grounded, he will. He is a smart kid. Didn't think twice about not going to the Senior Party after graduation. Same happened for Prom, no party, just a small group hung out at one of their homes. Good kid!!
